Yellow Crested Amazon, Congo African Grey (on its way)
Hi all, thought i would say hi to everyone as im new here, im from sunny Suffolk in the UK well not so sunny at the moment but thats british weather for you hehe.

Ive got a yellow crested amazon called Marley which i got when he was about 5 years old unfortunately he merely tolerates me at the best of times which is great as ive always wanted a parrot since losing my cockatiel which bonded with me in a way i never imagined possible however Marley seems to have latched onto my fiance which is cool for her and him i guess but i'll be searching/posting for some advice on how to try and win him over he loves tickles from me when he's in his cage but outside his cage or on it he will lunge for me and bite me hard if given the chance but thats another post.

By way of a most unlikely encounter with several baby parrots in the back of a camper van at a car boot sale (of all places) a few weeks ago it seems ive fallen in love with an absolutely adorable 5 week old hand reared female CAG which i have temporarily named Purdy ... cage bought, paid for and assemled 2 weeks ago and she wont be coming home for at least another month lol its like im a new dad waiting for a new baby to arrive home.

Anyway look forward to chatting with everyone about all things feathered.

Hi and welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your troubles with Marley, but they may be things you can work through, and congratulations on the new fid (fid=feathered kid) I'm sure you can't wait to bring him/her home, thers a great group of friendly members here some some good info and advise, hope you enjoy your stay :)

Hi & welcome to you, Marley and your soon to be CAG. Great bunch of parrot lovers here always ready to hear your stories and help with any issues that may arise

Welcome to the forum! It's funny how parrots choose who they're going to love, regardless of our best laid plans. I have a lovely almost-6 month old female CAG named Ruby. I remember how difficult the wait was before she was ready to come home.

Be sure to follow quarantine rules when she does come home.

Welcome, make yourself at home
Great combination of fid's (well soon to be) enjoy them
