Jenday Conure
Hello Everyone!
I recently purchased an amazing Jenday Conure and am interested in learning anything I can that will help my husband and I be the best parents to this wonderful little guy. My first issue is feeling guilty about leaving him during the day while we are at work. Other than that he will always be played with and spoiled. Any suggestions??? Looking forward to interacting with all of you :orange:

Welcome! I would bet we all have some guilt leaving our feathered children - I know I do. Actually, I have requests to bring my Max to work with me.

The thing that was foremost in my list of questions when I got my bird was what to feed him. Proper diet and nutrition are soooooo important the overall health and happiness of everyone in the family. Brand-name pellet food is a good place to start, but most birds benefit from fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts in addition the the pellets.

:orange:Greeting and welcome, friendly members and fantastic posts.
Has the little guy been named yet, how old is he?
When leaving the bird on his own, leave a radio or cd playing softly, in this way he hears voices and music, gives them the feeling someone is close by.
Don't' feel guilty at all. Many people leave their birds alone, during working hours.
I work from home, when going on deliveries, I still get those guilt feelings.
Yet I KNOW I WILL BE BACK HOME IN A FEW HOURS.
We all do our best, no matter what the circumstances are.
When at home as you mentioned he will be spoilt.... great spoil him with lots of love and attention.
Good luck
Take care
