Hello everyone,
I am Renee. Although I don't own a parrot myself I am currently looking after an African Grey. The reason why I joined this forum however, is a green winged macaw owned by a friend. This person did not look into this species at all and just got the bird because it was offered. In its previous home, it was with a couple and their daughter. The daughter was the macaws favorite (and also owner). However, she decided to move to Australia and the macaw was left alone, in a separate room. It started to pluck its feathers and has not stopped since. In its new home it has became worse. The person he got a bit attached to, he bites now. He screams a lot and seems absolutely miserable. I am looking for a new place for this macaw. I can't bear seeing him so miserable. I am looking for a parrot lover, anywhere in Ireland who is willing to loo after him. He has all the papers required.
