Hello, I have a little conure named Pickles. When I purchased her (it) the certificate said maroon belly but the coloration looks more like a gcc, especially the maroon tail vs a maroon under tail with a normal maroon belly. Help?
Welcome to the forum. It is hard to tell what type of conure he is from the back but is you could take another picture showing his belly/vent we may be able to tell him what he is. Going by his dark back feathers i do think that he is a maroon bellied conure rather than a gcc.
Thank's so much for the front shot. To me she looks like a maroon bellied conure as she has a lot of red on her belly. Either way she is beautiful and she has a got a caring owner.

If she is a maroon bellied conure then she is a HYBRID. Everything about your bird looks like a normal GCC to me, including the "scales" and yellow. The amount of maroon on your bird is heavy, but I have seen others marked just as darkly. Perhaps this is an indication that the bird has maroon bellied conure in his lineage, but most of this bird's DNA is probably GCC, if not all of it. Maroon Bellied Conures have green heads, not grey, and green on the tail from the back, not red.
Personally, he looks like a Green cheek conure. As SilverSage said, Maroon bellied Conures have a green head and not grey. Also they have a green tale not reddish maroon. My Green cheek has a bit of red on her lower stomach, like yours, but she is a green cheek. Hoped that helped a little!
