Some of you may have read that I am looking to adopt a Blue Crown Conure who is a rehome/rescue. Well we had it scheduled to go see him tomorrow night at 7pm. Of course the wait has been killing me! LOL!

Well I got a call this morning from the woman who rescued him and she just happened to have the day off today. It's rainy out and she has nothing planned for the day so she offered to bring Sid to me! Yay!!:jumping40

She saw that I own a very large candy store and wanted to come see it. LOL! So that was a good incentive. She has just saved me an almost 3.5 hour round trip drive to her house and back! So I am really appreciative. She should be here in a couple of hours or so!

We are all very excited to meet him! :D

I will definitely get some pics! :D

Clearly someone is doing the happy dance...and rightfully so! I'm dancing right along with you, Blanca! :D What awesome news! Great start to a week, isn't it?

Can't wait to meet Sid!!

Yes, definitely doing the happy dance!

A great way to wake up on a Monday morning! ;)

This is great news, Blanca! Looking forward to photos and hearing about the new arrival!

NOT having to take a 3.5 hour trip AND getting to meet your potential new bird? That's some awesome luck! Any chance "Sid" may not have to make the return trip;)

On another note (since you keep mentioning it) you should share some photos of the candy you make in the off topic section:) I'd be interested to see (and try if I lived closer). How close are you to Burlington?

Yes, there is a big chance he will stay with us today! ;)

I am hoping to add items online in the coming weeks on Etsy.com. So online ordering will be available for my candy shop at some point! ;) I am about 45 minutes south of Burlington, VT.

How exciting! Great way to start the week. Can't wait to see photos!

Why is it with good news there also has to be bad news?! I just found out that my one and only employee who we absolutely love will be leaving us! :(

Ugh! I was hoping the week would stay positive. At least I get to meet Sid today. That is the bright side. But I don't look forward to trying to replace my GREAT employee. :(

I am so sorry. It's hard to find employees that you love and work well with. Maybe they have a couple of suggestions for who to hire to replace them.

Thanks Dopey. The initial shock is always tough. But I am hopeful we can find a good replacement and she is willing to help in anyway she can. She did give us 2 weeks, so that is helpful! I just don't look forward to the process. :/
