I have been using my Calphalon pots and pans for years, and my parrots seem to be okay with them.

I have been thinking of purchasing a Gotham Steel Smokeless Grill, and according to the website, it states the following:

TI-CERAMA SURFACE WITH SUPER STRONG TITANIUM WON’T SCRATCH
NON STICK SLICK CERAMIC COATING

Do you think this grill would be safe to cook with, with all my parrots in the house?

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Wouldn't trust it. Never heard of the brand, mde in china, and unless you know specifically what this magic coating is, and I mean down to the formula of the coating, I would not trust it.

TITANIUM is extremely expensive and then using ceramic coating leaves me begging the question why cover Titanium with ceramic when traditional steel would be just as effective as a base.

Selling products by using exotic metals in one's adds, has a long history of being a SCAM! Also, there is thing about heat and grilling: The item grilled will smoke, right?

Put the advertisement in the trash!

Also would not trust it..Non-stick is in the title and the descriptor already sounds sketchy.

Teflon/PTFE/PFOA/PFCS can come in many names and mixed in with other metals etc...you really would have to call and give full chemical names, plus abbreviations and spellings for all (after arguing with the first 1-2 sales clerks with will baselessly claim that their products are "safe for family and pets"...off a script...until you get transferred to another person who says they will need a few days to figure it out (if ever).

What does Batman say?

From reviews:
"OK so I buy this Gotham Steel "Smokeless" Electric Indoor Grill, as I think it would be great for when it's raining and I can stay inside and
grill. In my opinion the reason it does not smoke is due to the temperature being so low.
My first try was with an inch thick veal chop and a fillet steak perhaps 3/4" thick.
Luckily I had the oven on at the same time as I would have been starving waiting for the chop especially.
The fillet steak was acceptable but still I put it in the oven, to finish it as it was taking far to long.
The whole thing is cheaply made especially as it can not be SUBMERGED, in water to clean it. The finish is good and the non-stick does seem
to work. BUT..... when cleaning one has to be very careful not to wet the connection. This is rather weird especially since most fry pans and grills now a days are now fully submersible. The whole of the bottom section is plastic and the electric grate unless meticulously positioned will melt the plastic.Should have some sort of clip to keep this in place.
Would not recommend this item unless you've a small apartment and no BAR-B-Q and are desperate to grill your steak, or a weeny".

I heard these indoor smokeless grills aren’t smokeless anyway, because cooking anything makes it smoke.

I don’t know your culinary level and preferences, but my advice is just get a good cast iron skillet. At the highest temperature (let that thing get blazing hot...no oil, butter or anything, just a dry pan)... it tastes exactly like using a grill.

Agree with all of the above! If your heart is truly set on this "titanium nonstick miracle," best compromise is to use exclusively outdoors in an area fumes cannot enter your home. Allow to cool before bringing inside!
