I lost my beloved horse to colic last Friday night. Nothing can fill the hole in my heart or get rid of the guilt I feel for not being there in time. I am so, so, so sorry Silk. Rest in peace my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss, like loosing a child
Silk sure was a beauty
How old was she, she still looked quite young?
Be strong

Oh no, I am so so sorry for your loss:( Please don't blame yourself. I'm sure that Silk knows he was loved by you and that you would have been there if you could.
RIP Silk.

You can't blame yourself! Unfortunately this kind of thing can come with owning horses and there isn't always anything or anyone can do. It was obviously her time and she was needed elsewhere.

Say hi to Red up there Silk! Rest easy.

She's absolutely beautiful! I'm so sorry for your loss :(.
Just remember a loved one is never truly gone, because they'll always be there in your heart. ♡

Oh brittish. Colic is a horse owner's worst nightmare: it strikes so fast! I got goose-pimples reading your post and can't imagine what you must be going through. Please bear in mind, unless you'd been there on the spot, there was nothing you could have done to save gorgeous Silk. I'm so sorry this has happened to you! Sending warmest hugs to you and gentle pats to Silk in Heaven.

Losing a horse is so hard. You put your life in their "hands" every time you ride. It makes for an incredible bond. I saw that you are going through a lot right now... Stay strong and look at the important things in your life. I'm sure the answers you're looking for will come.

Again I am so sorry for your loss

She was prone to colic and all I can think about are those nights, staying at the barn until the sun came up, walking her every 10 minutes until she was no longer in pain. The one night I didn't feed, someone else fed for me, she colics. Thank you for your sympathy and thank you to everyone else who has posted. I hope there is endless amounts of grass in heaven.

Oh, no, this just breaks my heart to hear about your beloved Silk. I'm so sorry, Brittish. Please don't be too hard on yourself. As others have said, there's nothing you could have done; it was just her time to ride peacefully free.
