I was thinking about what table foods I could try and cook for Oz and came across this:
Feathers and Forage » Feathers and Forage
I really liked this website since there seems to be quite a bit of information about all sorts of things and pretty awesome looking recipes and ideas for toys and such.
Guess a lot of you guys have probably seen this website too before, but I still felt like sharing =P
I think I'll try making the birdie mash and seed cakes after I've gone to the grocery store this week. Looks yummy (well, for him anyways...thought...Is it bad I find the birdie mash oddly appealing? Definitely something I'd eat, well minus the seeds of course):
(photos not mine, come from website above)
I've also noticed about Oz that, while he ignores my attempts to get him to try stuff (when I eat something and pretend to really enjoy it), he actually gets really interested when I'm really having a meal. Got lazy today and decided to have some instant noodles and it wasn't long before he perched on the side of the bowl. (it was just adorable when he would extend his bead and open wide when I tried to have a bite). I was tempted to let him have a nibble, but I don't know much yet about bird safe foods and those noodles aren't good for me (sure are yummy once in a while thought) so they can't be that good for him either so I didn't. He was very adamant about it thought, to the point he jumped on the fork Thank gosh those cool quickly thought =/ Next time I have dinner next to him, I'll make sure it's something we can both eat.
