Good treats for an American Budgie?

Hello! I recently bought a budgie and have been wanting to train him/her, I know for training you're supposed to use treats that they only get while training. The only treat I give him is millet and I'd rather use a different treat for training so I can give him/her millet even if we aren't training. Every treat I know of is the size of his/her head! Do you know of any small quick treats other than millet?

I slice almonds into tiny pieces for Bumble (Parrotlet). Or sometimes I break pine nuts into little pieces. She used to do tricks for pieces of oatmeal but after trying the nuts, she refuses.
