My adopted CAG is 25 years old. His previous owners had him on a seed diet. I have been trying to get him to try fresh foods with little success.
I found that he likes bananas, chicken, bread and some other things. He really won't even try many items. I do give him Harrison's pellets which he will eat sometimes.
I have tried a blend that I get from my bird store. It has dried fruit, pumpkin seed, pellets, peas, etc. But he just picks some items and ignores most.
I am concerned about him not eating enough. So is there a recommendation for a good "seed" mix? I have "seed" in quotes as I realize that seeds are not ideal. But, for now, I would rather see him eat his full so not sue if there is a quality mix of seed, grains and other nutritious foods.
