I made paracord bracelets for my family for part of their Christmas present and have leftover paracord, my first thought was to make more bracelets and sell them, then I thought maybe I could make bird toys, THEN I had a brainstorm:32:. Goat collars!:D I made 1 this afternoon for Midge

Just finished

I love to go see the goats and sheep at the county fair every year. I do remember some terrifying times as a child at the petting zoo, and having goats grab paper out of my hand and not letting go! It's like trying to grab and pull back papers as they go through a paper shredder lol. I imagine the does are sweet animals as pets.

Goats have personalities similar to dogs, especially if they are bottle raised! I've got 4 doelings that were born last kidding season (Jan 2014) that were raised in our living room due to the cold temps (-50 with the wind chill) and they are all very clingy, I even had a cart goat!:D Some of my goats love to grab my pony tail and give it a yank if I'm not giving them enough attention...:54:

I would never have known that bottle raised goats acted a lot like dogs if you didn't share that! How sweet! :D

So cute!! I love goats- we had some when I was younger... My mom had a few Nubians- one was super cranky and always trying to sneak up lb you and butt you to the ground [emoji33] They would always escape the field to eat the blackberry bushes lol

We also had a black one (I can't remember what kind), but his name was Billy...Billy "the kid" har har har lol he would follow me EVERYWHERE. He would sneak inside the house and sit in the chair lol

Awww...now you're making me miss my little goaties!:( Long story short, years ago I decided I wanted a pygmy goat...hubby found 2 and got them for me...doe was pregnant when we got them...on Christmas day she had my little buck...and then she rejected him!!! We brought him in the house to raise, which meant I had to milk her and feed him with a bottle. We named him Prancer and he thought he was a dog. I will have to dig up some pics of him in the house with his little "diaper" on..lol.:09: One of the best experiences of my life!!:D

Wow, there's more goat people on here than I thought!:) If you can find a pic of your little pygmy wearing his diaper please post it!:D

I held my buck back this year because last January I was getting up multiple times each night to check on my does due to the extreme cold. Believe me, waking up at 1 and 3am and walking out to the goat barn and shoveling through 3 ft drifts each time IS NOT fun! :D Those adorable little babies make up for it though, my does should be due in March. I'll have to show off the baby pics when they arrive!:p

Thank you for sharing your cute goats. I like to go to the fair just to see the goats. If I did live out in the country I would want to get some goats. But I live in town so I do not even think I could have a pygmy goat.
