Normally after i get in from work and Gilbert comes to help me feed the dogs and make dinner and we eat together, he will later sit on my shoulder for a while before bed time. (It is actually past his bedtime, but i am still up and he likes to be half asleep on my shoulder with his face against my neck/cheek). He makes this sing-songy, lilting chatter at that time. It's like he is talking but not any recognizable words.
Anyhow, his new thing is this--if i make clicking sounds with my tongue, he gets that "pinning" of his eyes and really looks at me and then either clicks back and says his lilting chatter, or just does the chatter. I mean he really looks at me like what i just said was amazingly profound! It is really funny. He will drop anything he is doing and reply to that silly clicking. haha, i have no idea what it means to him but he sure does enjoy it.
