Gilbert's first Christmas

I have been sick over the holidays, but that didn't stop Gilbert (and my dogs) from tearing it up, having a good time.
Gilbert had a blast, hanging out on the kitchen island, jumping off his perch to steal appetizers (LOL) and then moving to the dining room for dinner and dessert, and jumping off his perch to RUN across the dining room table when he discovered a new thing: COOKIES! He never even had a nibble of a cookie before but i let him nibble a tiny crumb and he was instantly obsessed. hahaha We had to get the cookies away from him because he continually ran across the table to try to steal them.

So that's his story. He didn't notice that (hanging my head) i forgot to buy him a new toy!! He thought all the wrapping paper and bows flying around were pretty fun in themselves. He was so exhausted when it was all over.

LOL! Sounds like he had a great day! Isn't it great how birds can find joy in some of the simplest of things?

I'm sorry to hear you were under the weather for Christmas...but I have to say...OMG!! Gilbert is a PERFECT conure name! I love it!

I have a Franklin and he calls himself....Frank the Tank...Frankieeeeee! It's so adorable!

Hope you feel better soon and it sounds like Gilbert made Christmas special by just being Gilbert
