Yeah, Ratzy...some people just don't get it.
I once stayed at a certain hotel in Las Vegas, and there was a long corridor between the hotel and the casino. They must have had 20 BNG's, each by itself on a wall-mounted perch along the corridor. It really ticked me off. They were treated like nothing more than a decoration for the hotel, rather than wonderful, intelligent living creatures.
My Dad reached up to one who was really giving signs of wanting down, and it immediately hopped on his arm, and proceeded to clown around and be happy...with a total stranger. A hotel security guard ran up and proceeded to scold my Dad, pointing to the signs everywhere that said "don't touch the birds." What ticks me off more is that I'm sure they were just worried about lawsuits from someone getting bitten...not about the welfare of the birds.
Sad.
