Getting a new tiel today!

Hello! I will be picking up my new cockatiel today (a whiteface pearl).
is there any way to sex a whiteface pearl cockatial visually? If it's a male, will the pearls molt out? Thanks you!
Also, any suggestions for cute names? I kind of like Crackers!!

Yes, if male, the pearls will molt out. If you know whether or not the mother is a pearl, you might be able to know the sex sooner. If the mother is not a pearl, you have a female! If the mother is a pearl, 50/50 either way!

unfortunately, I don't know about the parents.

It might even be a cinnamon pearl as the grey bits are very pale. Will post a pic when I get it

When they're pearls it is hard to tell. I have two pairs that throws whiteface pearl and one throws cinnamon pearl pied whiteface.

It could well be either of those Mikey! LOL I will show you a photo (I pick it up in just under 2 hours). Will be interesting to see what you think.
