General Caique question

We've had Walter for 2 days now, and I have a question. Do the BHC's have eyes that almost look bloodshot around the rim? It's difficult for me to find close up images of their eyes on-line.

Walter's feathers aren't as relaxed against his body as my other bird's feathers are while at rest. Do they usually 'relax their feathers', or should I be concerned that he might not be feeling well?

Do they like to take little naps here and there? My Zon is the only one who briefly naps, so I want to make certain these little guys like to nap, too.

He's acting fine otherwise.

Hmmmm. Now he has very watery poops. Could be the change in his diet, as he's getting Harrison's pellets and fresh fruit/veggies. I just gave him a millet sprig and a few seeds to see if his poops become more solidified. If not, then off to the vets I go after I run this all by the bird shop.

Yes black headed caiques have a red ring around their eyes. As for the poop it could be stress from a new home and or the change in diet. Fresh fruit will make it watery. Perhaps let up n the fruit and see it it returns to normal.

Also my caique gang all take naps here and there. typically in the afternoon
