Gender Reveal Party

We think SassyByrd is a girl. The person we purchased her from (lots of breeding experience) was sure she was a girl. She "looks" like a girl. When she is feeling romantic, she "acts" like a girl (or hen as the case may be), if you know what I mean.

I can't imagine if we find out she isn't a she. It would be such a huge adjustment. So, with everyone home for Christmas in a couple of weeks, I'm sending off her DNA for sexing. I saw a show where they took the sealed results and asked the bakery to open the results and bake a pink cake for a girl, or a blue cake for a boy and cover it regardless in white frosting so you can't tell until you cut into it what the results are. I'm going to have our local bakery do the same thing and then we are going to hold a SassyByrd Gender Reveal Party with all her fans and chosen ones in attendance. Then we will all gather around and make the fateful cut! I'm so freaked out and excited at the same time! I'll post the results as soon as we find out. Perhaps I'll try to video the party to post as well!

Any ideas on how to get SassyByrd to "help" with cutting the cake?
