Hi, Just want to say hello and I look forward to gathering all the information I need to keep my pineapple conoure healthy..
Particularly interested in healthy food for my bird..

I might see you around.. :)

Welcome!

I’d start looking into how to sprout, and what sort of veggies you can get your hands in locally :) fruits are good in small amounts, same with grains/seeds, proteins, etc. a high quality pellet makes a good addition as well for your Green Cheeked Conure (pineapple is the color, not the species ;))

Thanks for the welcome..
I'm interested in finding some good recipes for her..
I would like to give her a good mixture of foods..
Not just the same stuff all the time..
Mix it up a little..

Anyway I've currently feed her this with fruit and vegetables and I give her a little seed as a treat.

Having trouble uploading pictures..:33:
I'll work it out later..

But what I was trying show is the South American pallets that I feed her..

Hi and welcome. I think a pellet diet will be healthier for your conure with fruit n veggies. All served daily. Seeds as treats so he/she doesnt get fatty x

Welcome!
Good for you, for reaching out and being so open-minded.
I'm glad you're here.

I make bird bread and freeze it so on the days when I don't have time for fresh veggies/fruit I can heat it up and serve. I don't have a recipe but basically it's veggies and fruits and eggs in shell mixed in food processor to a smoothie consistency, then stir in your flour (not white flour, a healthy one, I used almond flour last) until you get a batter type consistency. Spread in a baking dish (not too deep) and bake at 300 - 350 until it's cooked through. It's more like meatloaf than bread. When it's cool I cut up and freeze. I microwave and serve it warm.

For example the last batch had cabbage, kale, butternut squash, beans, spaghetti squash, banana, blueberries, strawberries, brussels sprouts.

Welcome, my conure loves blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and apples. Basically any kind of fruit will be a favorite of his. He also loves lettuce, broccoli, and carrots. Experiment with different things, and soon you’ll discover what healthy foods your bird likes! Also, make chop. There are many posts on chop recipes, and it can get picky eaters to start eating a variety of fresh veggies!
