Are BCC really that much smaller then GCCs? And are they as quite?

A Blue Crown is actually bigger than a Green Cheek and louder but they are highly trainable and very cute!

never thought of it but just now, BCC could be blue crown conure, or black capped conure.

Im talking about the black capped.

My black capped is about 10g heavier than my green cheek and in my experience, the noise level is virtually the same.

Yes, noise level same. But that being said, my JoJo is super quiet, even his flock call is nice, side effect of living with 20 canaries for 6 months! Wife's Bongo, very loud, both GCC.

Lots of the Black Capped conures I've met have been smaller than the average GCC, but there's always natural variances. My conure is average, but I've met some huge GCC's too.

Behaviour wise they're basically the same, though black caps have more notoriety amongst conures to be rather nippy. But they all are :p

My Black Cap Conure is 65/70grams the last time I weighed her. I'm not sure what the average GCC size is, but she's bigger than our Cinnamon conure. She's also EXTREMELY quiet! She only ever makes a 'cmere' whistling noise when she sees me, and a semi-loud beep when she's SUPER excited, but her speaking is mostly limited to barely audible quacks and cricket noises.

Average size for a GCC is 60-80 grams. My Maxx is 72 grams.
