These are some birds that are for adoption on the Ga CL. Emails are listed, but I don't have links, sorry. I am unsure of the prices or the birds info because these are emailed to me regularly. There are 2 B&G's, 1 U2, 1 CAG and 1 Cockateil. Here is the emails and the birds:

Congo grey 1yr dariusgibson01@gmail.com
Blue & Gold Macaw forkubetrang@yahoo.com
blue & Gold Macaw 4 yr comm-310690622@craigslist.org
cin cockatiel 3 yrs comm-309593995@craigslist.org
U2 6 yrs 310125262@craigslist.org

Please! If you or anyone else is interested in these birds, email them ASAP! Too many birds are sold off of there to people who don't know how to take care of them...:(

I've heard others talk of Craigslist, What is their policy about seeing home conditions etc?

There really is no policy. Ive had it for awhile now and have not had to do nething as far as home conditions and so on. The ppl would just email you or you'd email them and it went like ne other pet add would I guess you'd say.

Okay do they want to know if you've had any bird experience before, what type of birds you have? I'm just curious is all. Do they just let anyone have the bird?

Sorry but I do like to ask questions?

Actually all Craiglist is a like a buy/trade/sell/give-away site. People just put up postings for just about anything you can immagine. Pets just happen to be one of the categories that are on there. It is completely up to the individual seller/original owner as to what item goes to what interested party ... not a great way to get a bird, BUT if the original owner is humane they will want to know what the experience level of the perspective new owner is.

Tex is right

Its like a huge classified setion of a news paper :D

Ah right, hmmmm lets hope its only the humane kind people who sell their birds there then. You could end up with anything really. :(

Actually, I got Echo from Craigslist. Of course, the owner loved him dearly and I asked and she asked a ton of questions. There aren't too many birds on there, but when there are, they are usually sold quick. I am always on there trolling, looking for birds that need homes. It is up the the owner to decide if the perosn interested would be a good home or not...

you have to be carefull when dealing with cl cause I have heard some horror stories off of there like ppl buying stolen birds off of there . Like one lady here where we live she went to someones house and saw their new bird . sure enough it was the bird that was stolen out of her house 6 months earlier .I would never ever i think trust anyone off of craigs list it is just too iffy.

Craigslist is good - IF - you make sure the person selling whatever is legit.
THEY should ask YOU questions - they should look like thyey want to m ake sure the bird is going to the right place. SOme people don't care who buys it - these include people who steal the birds, they just want the money. Just make sure the person cares and knows what theyre talking about and you should be fine.
