Amazon yellow front head
Hi everyone!
I have a four month old yellow-front ammazon, I still hand feed him since he still does not get all the food on his own! When should I stop handfeeding him?
He is very sociable and makes all kinds of sounds we try to talk to him a lot, but I don't know if this means that he is going to be a talker or it's just normal for them to have a kid of conversation of their own!!
How do I train him?
Plese give me some answers!!!:greenyellow:

Hi there and welcome to the forum. :)

Continue feeding your Yellow Crowned until he refuses food. It's also a good idea to monitor his weight as he's weaning. A digital kitchen scale works great. It's best to weigh first thing in the morning, on an empty crop, and keep a record of his weight. He may lose a bit of weight when he first completely weans, which is normal.

Yellow Crowns can make GREAT talkers, yes. The more you talk to him, the better the chances he'll pick up on it.

Also, since he's still so young, now is a great time to introduce him to all kinds of healthy fruits and veggies. :)
