Hello! I got my cockatiel, Luna, about a year ago. She just turned 1 last year.
I have been trying to train her for free-flight since I got her, it has been my ultimate goal.
These are the things I am aware of and have been working on: recall, bomb-proof training, Raptor calls, basic communication.
She goes outside with me on walks all the time(Wings taped or harnessed) and is hardly ever spooked.
I know that there are risks and I can lose Luna at any point, but I have made up my mind and this is for sure the path I want to go down; freeflight.
I was wondering where I go to see a professional freeflight trainer? And what do freeflight trainers do? Teach me how to teach, or teach the bird?
Plus what are other things I can work on teaching her for freeflight until I meet with someone?
