So without going into to waaaaaaay too many details. I have a certain tee shirt that is my favorite evening attire. A couple weeks ago, I had neglected my laundry and it was in the washer. I had a different shirt on and went to pick Freckles up for our evening TV time/play time. She wanted nothing to do with me! Tried to shred the shirt sleeve.....even growled. I didn't push the issue, let her "stew" in her cage. Put the old shirt, now clean, back on......she's happy, interactive, affectionate. Same thing happened last night....this time, she nipped me. So here's my question to the group.....can these birds detect color? The favorite shirt is a pale green. The hated shirt is dark brown. Coincidence?

Yes they can distinguish colors...and if one shirt has a design on it or not...do NOT under estimate a Grey!

You interrupted normal routine????? The shirt was different???? Yes, this will cause a grey revolt!

Still love these birds tho, love their "posh" and "I'm better than all" attitude.

It's funny eh... Super intelligent... Will use words in context... Tell you what they want. But can't bear a small chance (small for us... Huge for them) makes life interesting I say :)

I had a root canal about a week ago.....meant leaving the house earlier than normal, so Freckles and my morning routine had to wait until I got home later in the day. She was quite peeved with me the entire day. It wasn't until about 9pm, that evening, when I let her play with my glass of ice cubes, was she even close to being back to "normal". Oh she is quite the regal ruler......and I am simply her minion.

My amazon's are very picky about interacting with them and the cloths I have on.
I normally handle them in my "lounging around the house "cloths. If I ware anything else I get a negative response.

My Grey is more flexible when it comes to cloths. She is becoming more stand-off-ish with me when it comes to scratching her no mater what I am wearing.

Also the winged overlord of the house demands order to be kept otherwise executions shall be dolled out at will!
