Good Morning everyone...

I thought I'd share some more pictures of our Franklin this morning.

Last night when I had him out he was absolutely fixated with this bottle, he entertained himself with it for a good 40 minutes! Climbing all over it, trying to get IN it, trying to get that darn yellow ring off it, it was just too cute not to share.

He's been the best little investment ever! In 18 days, he'll be 4 months old.

Have a great day!

Thank you! And yes, in my opinion, he's tiny for a conure of his age, I wonder if he was the "runt" of his clutch. If birds have "runts" Guess it don't matter much, we love him dearly just as he is, he's absolutely perfect ;)

So, merlinsmom if the bottle opening was just a tad bigger, he probably WOULD fit in it.

Thanks for looking and have a good one,

Toni

What a little cutie Franklin is. It seems are little babies are pretty close in age. Maxx was born 3/26/11, so just 12 weeks old. Did you get him DNA tested?

dies** I might have to change my mind about getting a TAG... Ive always loved GCC's. if your not careful Nakiska, I might sneek in and steal that little cutie.

Thank you so much, we think he's pretty cute too! He was hatched on March 15th, 2011 - only 11 days before yours and by looking at the pictures, I'd say Franklin is only about 2/3rds your conures size

Today at the petstore, they had a YSGCC in also around 4 months old and she looked the size of yours and our Franklin eats like a horse and doesn't appear to be putting on any weight, he's not loosing it either, he's just tiny I guess. Part of his charm :D

On top of a well rounded seed mix I keep in his cage at all times "Healthy Select" Parrot Diet, he also daily eats apples, banana chips, grapes, occasionally broccoli (not his fav) carrot shreds, various cooked beans and rice, I bought zupreem pellets to add to his diet and he went right for them, but he appeared to have a hard time crunching them...so I will try soaking them a little bit, he also likes cooked brussel sprouts, sometimes a little bit of chicken or a bite of string cheese (although we hold back on the dairy it's only an occasional taste when we're eating it)..oh I gave him a chunk of fresh corn on the cob...he loved it! He's definitely NOT shy about eating at all...but I'm almost starting to think about getting concerned as he does not appear to be putting any weight on and we've had him a month on the 29th.

His stools are all normal, healthy and of good amount, he appears absolutely happy and healthy and active...so I dunno.

Oh and no we haven't had him DNA'd but the breeder and the store were very confident that he was a male based on his breast bone...and for me, just based on his behavior, he just acts like a boy....don't ask why I think that, I just do! LOLOL :p

Thanks for looking!

He's not up for stealing ;)

Thnx for sharing the charming pics!
I also seen some C'nures playing with a bottle that has a marble in it so when it tumbles over it makes noise.. ha I think he might like the bottle for the pepsi smell x]
