don't believe i've talked about my cat Foxy here. after my previous cat, Meow, passed away earlier this year.. i was devastated.
time went on and i decided it was time to get another kitten since i've gotten used to having a cat around with the birds too.
i ended up getting an adorable 2 months old kitten that had a similar coat color as Meow did and named her Foxy. the name
came to me because of her face making her look somewhat like a fox.

it seemed quite obvious to me that she was abused and always locked up before, because of where she was. i got her from
someone who was going to basically throw her away after 3 days of buying her from our notorious animal market for no
apparent reason. i also had a strong hunch that she wasn't healthy.. which was true. she had FPV and fell extremely ill just
a few days of getting her. she could barely eat, drink, and stand.. and lost a lot of weight. she was basically as skinny as
my pinky fingers. ;/

i took her to the vet as soon as i could and they kept her in isolation for about 3 nights. the doctor told me she thought Foxy
was going to die the first night there, lying all lifeless, but was shocked to see her up and extremely hyper the next day, lol.
she's a fighter alright, but she was still in really bad shape when she came back home and i had to take care of her more
of course. she got better fast and seemed to be in perfect health soon after that but gave us a scare one random day by lying
lifeless for a bit. she got better by the next day so that was a relief.

if you would look at her now, you wouldn't have believed she was a skinny sick kitty before that was on the verge of death.
she's fat and active, and loves to cuddle. <3

thank you. :)

What an adorable kitty. Love that face. Thanks for sharing the pics and her story.:)

She's gorgeous, you make sure to spoil her rotten!

Animal abuse happens everywhere sadly. I don't think you'd (hopefully) find here in the US animal markets such as you mentioned. Still, we have puppy and kitten mills. Sadly there are people everywhere who look at animals as just a *thing* and don't regard them as creatures who can have any emotions or feel any pain.

My youngest cat was found tossed in a box in a dumpster like a piece of garbage. This dumpster must not have had a regular pickup (thank gods) because he was severly emaciated and dehydrated. The vet wasn't even sure if he was going to make it but they gave him the chance. He's about the sweetest cat (though a little sneaky) and it's hard to believe he was just tossed away like a piece of trash. He has asthma but at this point in his young life that seems to be his only medical problem.

People never fail to amaze and disgust me. It's wonderful to hear stories of an animal being given a caring, loving home. I doubt she could find a better one.

The name is great, it fits her well. Oliver had a little pointed face like that when he was younger and these big ears, I always called him my fox cat.

aww that's so sad about your kitty. ugh. good thing you found him. <3

foxy's been meowing a lot (normal meows) for a few days but today she's mostly just
laying on her tummy and moving her behind left and right every few seconds with a
sad "mmm". she bled a little too. sooo i guess she's having her first period. D;

i should get her spayed. asap!
