Yes we're VERY happy!!! We're gonna repaint it black. Got some glossy black spray paint and gonna repaint it on Wednesday or next Monday. :)

Excellent (that you found it)! A very pretty set, and I agree it will look much better black. I am actually getting ready to repaint our patio furniture. Will be interested to see how yours turns out before I sand and paint mine:D

Can't wait to see it black! Do you have to prime it first or anything?

We bought the spray paint that have primer within. So that way it makes everything simpler. :)

Wow.. it's very nice! :D I also can't wait to see it in black! It'll be so nice and dark and shiny... *drools imagining it*

We did some research on this specific set, it's a very old set that was made in Atlanta. I think my partner said they were around a 100 years old???

:O that is even cooler! I love older stuff :D If it weren't for my husband I think I may have been a hoarder of Antiques ;)

We have LOTS of antiques in our house. We keep antique dishes in the china cabinet as display. My family said that they feel like they're in a antique shop when they come to my house....lol

It's a lovely set, Mikey. You have an eye for nice things! Don't forget to post pics of the set when it's painted, will you? :)

Really nice! It's great that you found the whole set as well! I was an antique dealer and had my own booth in an antique mall for many years and I rarely ever found them as a complete set.

What a GREAT looking set, Michael! Sweet find!!! :D Please post pics once you painted it jet black, ok? It will look even better in black, no doubt. :D

Really nice! It's great that you found the whole set as well! I was an antique dealer and had my own booth in an antique mall for many years and I rarely ever found them as a complete set.

I have found them before last year but they want a lot of money for them like $650-750 range. Before finding this set I found another for $795 range but with a extra bench but it was over 2hrs away. This one was an hour away and I got it for $350 from a nice elderly gentleman. One of the chairs have a loose leg so its not painted yet as I have to strip all the paint completely to free the screws and bolts, dismantle the whole thing then tighten it up then fresh coat of paint. It's gonna be a pain to strip all the paint....

Oh my gosh, that looks GORGEOUS in black!!! Now we just need a pic of you relaxing in it:)

They were made at Atlanta Stove Company as the brand was under the seat. Just like what we thought they were made from. This pattern was made between 1890-1910

Oh I'll sit in them soon enough until I get all the work done....now I need to strip the one chair, repaint, and leveling the paving stones.....lol

It looks STUNNING in black, Michael!!! :D That's a true Antiquity there! NICE!!

Hopefully fixing the leg of one of the chairs will be a piece of cake.

Can I be a PITA and ask you to post pics when they're all done? :54: I HAVE to show to hubby, and the more pics the better. I SO want something like this in my garden. Major envy here.
