I recently picked up a Caitec Generation II foraging wheel. Quinn keeps ripping down so it is pretty much useless. I was wondering what others are using and how do they hold up. I'm going to try and see if I can secure it to the cage better with additional hardwear. In case that fails i hope to have a back up option.

I would like to get one but haven't had funds. What are you securing it with.

Just the plastic bracket and nuts that comes from factory. I haven't fully looked into potential modifications yet.

If it hangs I always change to stainless clasp carabeeners (?) Heavy duty. My guy hasn't figured out the clasp yet any any toy I make, I use those.

I have similar problems with both my Big Macs, Mattroma. They all too quickly figure out how to 'unpop' the big screw-in thingy in the back and the toy goes plummeting to the cage floor.

I've found that using fishing line in the back, and securing it to the cage, helps with the toys not falling down once the bird pops off the big screw.
