foraging ideas?

Hi all!

I have a green cheek conure who has habit of chewing his feathers (not plucking). I am super not a creative person, totally lost when it comes to making toys for birds. I have searched for foraging ideas but why do so many involve the use of seeds when a seed diet is claimed to be pretty bad? Any healthy foraging ideas would be great.

Metal skewers with whole or big chunks of hot peppers, any toy where you can hide pieces of his favorite treat. I take 2-3 heavy paper towels and roll small pieces of pine nuts in them (like rolling a cigar) and thread them thru the bars, there are any number of clear plastic foraging toys . You may have to show him how to forage out the treats
