For those who know Scottj and Diamond

If you have been following Scott's thread "Diamond in the Rough" you know it stopped abruptly last year when his son had to be rushed to intensive care. Scott's son had challenging health issues and special needs his whole life, and Scott worked hard to give him a good life. Sadly, that life ended last year. Scott has taken a break from the forum to grieve and to prepare for a memorial service, and I don't know if he will return or not. He gave me permission to speak about this to you. This way, if he does return, he doesn't have to respond to endless queries as to how his son is, or wonder who knows and who he should tell. If you feel close enough to PM him with a message of love and support, I don't believe it would be taken amiss. I did not know them at all, but from what I saw Jason was an incredible young man, a true bearer of light, and his absence is very strong right now.

Diamond is doing well, by the way, stepping up regularly and even allowing Scott to touch the back of his head briefly.

So very happy to hear that Diamond is doing well, and I hope that Scott will feel comfortable enough to someday return to the Parrot Forums.

Please pass along the deep felt sorrow that so many of us here feel regarding the loss of Jason. His efforts in bring Jason a good life surround with love was a comfort for Jason.

Scott, I don't know you well and have only spoken to you during post discussions, but I've read many of your posts about Diamond, and I thought that you always had positive answers and very much tried to help people on her with their problems in any way you could. I'm glad that Diamond is doing well and is progressing and becoming closer to you. I am so sorry to hear about your son, you and your family are in my thoughts and I'm sending positive energy your way. I hope that you and Diamond find comfort in each other.
