so I have screamers... Parker has learned Keiko's call and now he does it when I get home subsequently causing Keiko to scream as well I have tried ignoring I have given foraging toys i'm slowly going crazy...they do it off and on for anywhere from 5 minutes to upwards of 30 mins please help me so I don't go crazy... right now I am trying talking to the one who is being quiet so maybe the other one will stop yelling ...i've tried giving treats to the quiet one but that doesn't work very well because as soon as i get up and move towards them the loud one stops screaming... it's mainly Parker that gets her going

I would call that normal Someone else may be able to give you some advice, but generally birds do call when you have been away. If they haven't up til this point then consider yourself lucky LOL

All you can do (from my point of view) is wait until they stop.

You could do what we have done to make the situation more bearable... we taught Mana a phrase to replace her contact call. "Whatcha doin?" has now become her contact call. We still get high pitched contact calls occasionally but being consistent with only answering her when she says the phrase, most of the time I get a little "whatcha doin?" when I come home. Sometimes intermingled with screams. My partner is terrible with consistency so she almost always screams when he comes home. Very annoying.

I feel for you, and I'm sorry Parker has picked up Keiko's call. I can imagine it must be quite loud when they are both at it at the same time.

Not too much you CAN do, really. The way you describe the screaming, they both sound like they are competing for your attention.

You already said you've given them foraging toys. Have you tried playing quiet, soothing music? This is just a stab into the dark, as I have NO clue whether it would work or not. Both of my big Macs can holler, too, and when they're in the mood for it, I just let them get it out of their system (and run upstairs until they're done).
