Foot toys in the cage?

They do get dirty-- some people do. Mine uses her on her play-stand or then end up getting pooped on. She will sometimes make her own out of wood from toys, and that is fine, but I don't like buying foot-toys and leaving them in there unless they are things like plastic links that hang etc (if she detaches them and drops them, I don't care-- they fall through the grate and then I just wash them).

I do put foot toys in his cage. He has three bowl holders - one for water, one for dried food, and one for foot toys. Oftentimes, he'll put the foot toy back in the bowl or in his food box (where I put his chop). I also tie foot toys to a seagrass mat that I've strung up like a bridge - he can pick up the foot toys and play with when he wants to, then when he drops them, they just go back to the mat.

I think we just said the same thing--If they are hanging foot-toys, they don't usually get pooped on so Noodles does get those. I just meant I don't give her a ton of loose ones in her cage because she will poop on them and then sometimes try to mess with them again later etc.

Yep, I keep the easy-to-clean toys unattached in his bowl and attach the hard-to-clean toys to avoid that mess.

I do think we're lucky that we taught Cairo to put things into cups/bowls. He's OBSESSED with putting things into bowls, so if he doesn't accidentally drop something, he will always put it back into a bowl or a box. It helps keep his cage tidier than I anticipated.
(Now, the obsession isn't always good because he'll try to drop toys into my drinks, but I appreciate his effort nonetheless)

Love the humor!!! LOL!!!
Kind of like: Would like a lemon or a foot toy with your drink?

We leave foot toys on top of our Amazon's cage and his toy storage bowl. But, he is not as obsessed with them always ending up back where he found them.

With your glass cage, there seems to be little choice regarding placement choices. With time, you will begin to see patterns regarding whether your Mac is a neat freak or a party bird...

Salty is very good about only pooping in one spot in his cage and we put his fot tpys in a bowl each night. He has 1 or 2 favorites that he bangs arond all monring long before he is let out for the day. Pushes them around, beats up on the and throws them across the cage. But not into his poop area.
