My conure, Louis, got bitten on his foot by one of my pet rats through his cage. I have no idea how she even got in Louis' room or on top of the dresser where his cage is kept but the only avian vet in my area is closed for the night and won't be in until tomorrow morning for me to get my baby checked out.
He's acting mostly like himself, eating normal and crooning his normal songs, but the wound keeps bleeding on and off. The nearest petstore doesn't carry clotting powder, is there anything else I can use to help clot the wound? I tried searching and saw flour or corn starch but wasn't sure on the validity of that. Any warning signs I should watch for? He's going to see the vet straight in the morning but I just want to make sure he's okay until then.
