Okay, Tucker started doing this thing a month or so ago. Not sure what the motivation is, but he seems to have fun doing it. It involves grabbing a full sheet of newspaper from the bottom of the cage, and trying to carry it up to a high perch to shred or play with. He'll keep trying for hours sometimes since it's difficult, and it keeps falling. I can't decide if it's just for fun, or maybe some sort of nesting behavior.

Today, Baxter started doing it too. Even though she wants nothing to do with him, she obviously watches him and learned the behavior. Fun to watch, but foolish, foolish, foolish! I love it!

Yeah they just want to keep up with what’s going on in the world!

I've seen this behavior at times, they seem to enjoy playing with newspapers. One of my stark-white Goffins loves to tear a strip of newsprint and rub it on his under-wing feathers!

Rip off a wide strip and clamp it way up in the cage, see if it gets their interest. jh

News Papers and our Amazon, plus his special place to read (rip) them up have lead to hours of humor in our home. And, you are so correct, the time and effort placed into bring a section up to their special place is a hoot!

Not a bad idea. They shred a little of it at the bottom, but seems like the whole fun of the game is about trying to carry the full sheets up high.
