I have been encouraged not to feed Percy away from his cage to help ensure he doesn't resist returning to his cage.
I'm designing a pvc play gym for him and was wondering what your opinions are regarding attaching food bowls to the gym? Obviously I will include a bowl for water.
I have decided to make a pvc gym because I can easily add to it later, when funds permit.

I actually made the mistake of letting Fargo eat his dinner, every single night, on his play gym.. For the past year..

NOW, he wont fill his crop up with dinner..

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, he will eat in his cage perfectly, but he won't fill up his crop before bed time unless hes eating on his gym :S

But i have feeders on Fargo's gyms and stands :) I dont have any problems with is, unless Percy decides to chuck his food, then you just have more mess to clean up ;)

I just suggest you mix it up, so he will eat all his meals in his cage if he has to..

Now i have to try and teach Fargo to eat dinner in his cage :p hahaha

I have bowls on mine. I feed primarily fresh fruits and veggies for ease of clean up. If my bird flings it, I would rather have it on the play gym vs. cage bars or my walls.

Maybe you could always have a special treat in the cage, like a nut? I like feeding dinner outside of the cage because its a warm mash and easier to clean up afterwards
