Flirting with shadow ?

Piper has started kissing his shadow on the wall and he will say "Hi baby" "Gimme Kiss" (insert kissing sound here) "Good boy" ..... It is hilarious. I'll try to get a video when he does it again. He did it for a good 20 minutes straight tonight.

When my conure was young, I used to leave the TV on for her while I was at work. She was watching daytime soap operas. Then I saw her wrapping her wings around toys, pulling them up against her breast and saying, "Kiss! I love you!" She still does it once in awhile, but not like she did back then. I had to stop her soap watching because she learned some bad words though, lol!

How cute he does it to a shadow, lol! I'm not sure any of my birds have noticed their shadows. Now I have something new to watch for.

LOL, I'll have to remember NO SOAP OPERAS for Piper It is so funny watching him learn new things, I'm like a mom watching her baby take it's first step every time I hear him say a new word correctly.

Rowdy has a lot of interest in kissing, hugging people. She wants very much to attract a human, male mate for herself. I didn't have satellite TV back then so network TV was all there was for her watch. But, I hadn't watched soaps in a long time and didn't realize they cuss on them now. But, she was saying things I never say, and I was wondering how on earth she heard this stuff. Then one day when I was home due to a snow day I found out, lol! I admit I like some adult TV where they cuss as well, but shows like Southland don't interest her as much as soap operas. And it's kind of too late to keep her from learning cuss words. I think she has learned every one she has heard anyone say. Luckily she only uses them when stressed, which is infrequent.
