American Bulldog Mix,
So Erin was clipped in April since we were trying to handle her. We are flight training her as most know and we are waiting for those feathers to grow in and she is going through a molt for the last few weeks and has only grown in one flight feather :( (out of like 7 or 8). She also has one long flight feather in the middle of the clipped ones that was never trimmed. How long til her wings grow out?

I think they do a full molt once a year... so that's when the new feathers will come in.

From what I know of my birds, Lene is correct. My newest bird, though, is just coming out of a molt like I've never seen! She's getting a new flight feather every other day!

That's a relief. I was begininng to worry. I read online that some birds grew them back in 2-6 months and was begining to worry, but you cant always trust the internet.

Sunny was clipped when we got her a year and a half ago and she has been through one big molt. She still has one clipped feather. I read somewhere that the big macaws may take two years to regrow every feather as they don't lose all their feathers in a single molt.

I guess I have quite the wait ahead of me...

You have plenty of time to polish up all the training you have invested so far.
It will be so worth the wait :)
