Morgan, 14+ Lilac Crowned Amazon
I've had morgan for about a week now and boy is he a riot.
Yeah, he nips occasionally and doesn't like the rest of the family yet but he's a sweetheart.
When ever someone is having a conversation he feels like joining in giving his input. LOL
The neighbors were yelling for someone and I guess he got annoyed and yelled out "WHAAAAAAT?" :D

He has never bitten me to a point where he draws blood. He loves to sit on my shoulder while he preens me and himself but refuses to stay on me if Im not wearing a specific purple sweater and a black hat.

I just adore him.
As a pre-vet student with hopes of becoming a wildlife veterinarian I am sure that Morgan will have a long and happy life with me.
I'm so I took him home :smile015:

Congrats on Morgan & good luck with vet school.....

I had worked with but had never lived with a zon. Your right they are personality plus! Danny wants to be up front and center where Spirit my TAG whats to sit back and watch everything going on.

Amazon's love being the center of attention. My DYH makes me laugh all the time.
So much fun. Welcom to the forum, we always love to see pictures.

I'm glad you and Morgan are getting along! I'm sure he will quickly become a much loved member of your family. Zons are awesome birds, and once you've lived with them, you can never live without them again :)

Kiwi's got it right, your hooked for life, Amazon slave, LOL they don't call me "henpecked" because of my wife.

Finally been back in contact with my breeder, she's been thinning her flock (200 at one point). I told her she could give me her Tres Maries and Magnas......Zons are her favorite.....I can't say what her reply was on here LOL :D

wife posted some vids of hers yesterday in here, it really shows what clowns they can be

That's awesome! Congrats on your amazon!! How funny that he only likes that certain sweater and hat.
I have always wanted to get an amazon, mostly because there was one particular blue fronted amazon who was at the pet store in the Bird Hospital (back in the day when my vet bred many different parrots) who took a liking to me and didn't warm up to very many people. I always think of him as 'the one that got away', and he would have been a perfect pet for me.
