Hey everyone im new here but not to birds. I have had a few cockatiels and love birds and a few african ringnicks and currently have 2 female cockatiels and what i was told a 3 week old irn which is now 4 weeks old and im feeding him 4 times a day. I have to say irn are now one of my favorite. I have handfed cockatiels before so handfeeding isnt that new to me and i have been reading about irn's for years but everyone has such different ways of weaning. So any info is highly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! The weaning process shouldn't be any different then how you weaned the tiels before. Just provide fresh food, seeds (if you want to use seeds to wean) or pellets, etc.

Ok cool. Thank u. Any certain age I should start putting the seed with the irn? I gave him some mashed banana the other day and seemed to do great. It was just mashed between my fingers.

Ok so i have a slight problem with my indian ringneck. I have him on 4 feedings a day and the first feeding is really hard to get him to eat. It takes about 20mins to get him to eat 10ml. But the last feeding he eats like a pig and he stays up all night and wants to sleep all day. Any suggestions?

Ok guys i need some advise. I accidentally scared my 5week old irn yesterday by sneezing while it was asleep next to me and it started screaming. And now over every little noise it stars screaming and runs away to hide. Is this going to be something he will do his whole life? I feel really bad.

Whiskey is adorable! I must say... I'm jealous! I want an IRN very badly! :D
