Finally!

I finally found something the chicken is willing to walk 3 steps for! It's sad, but as much as the pretty chicken loves food, she loves being stubborn more. I have been working on target training, and if she can reach the target without moving, she'll do it. However, she would rather not have to actually move.

I got some pumpkin seeds today, and she will take a few steps for those! I am happy. It was so difficult too, because she will do pretty much anything I want her to, and I can do anything to her, as long as it doesn't require too much effort. Lazy chicken.

Yes have a lazy chicken also but he loves hemp seeds and sm pieces of almond.

She likes almonds, just not enough to do work for them. Never tried hemp seed though, maybe that will be next.

How has the target training been working out since you found an appropriately tempting incentive?

It's been going well. With the new cage setup I'm going to have now, I really have to work on station training with her. Since she'll be sharing a double stack cage with Tiki, she cannot play on top of her cage anymore, so she is going to have to learn that she can play on the nice java stand I bought her she doesn't care about.
