Zazu and lemon/trying to call him Thor instead are both finally home safe and after a long night of resting, they are playful and are both sooooooooooo loving! But zazu is making this grinding sound, it sounds like she is grinding her beak is freaking me out. ?.... is that normal?

Some parrots grind their beaks when they are sleeping or when they are happy. It's nothing to worry about :)

Zazu sure is pretty, and looks like he's settled right into your home. How old is he?

Zazu is gorgeous! So happy you finally have her home with you:)
Several of my birds also grind their beaks when happy or sleepy.

Zazu is just over 3 months old hatch date was 12/12/2013
Thor is about 2 months old or so. They are both just weaned.
Thank you all, I agree she is beautifil. She likes to give and get kisses. Freaks my mom out when she does it. She is afraid she will bite and her tongue feels weird. But I think it's cool.

She is very playful exploring all her toys, she is afraid of moving things though like her bridge

Congrats, they are beautiful! One caution, because they are so young, I'd put a folded towel on the cage bottom, they are still pretty klutzy and can easily fall in a tall cage and hurt themselves. Our local shop would still have them in a pen at that age (or at least until they take first flight)
Keep an eye on their feeding too, I may be wrong, but 2-3 months seems awfully young to be fully weaned.

I added wrong it's 4.5 months on zazu the grey and trust me she Flys lol. Her fav thing to do haha and the tiel I was closeish to proper age and that proper weaning age for them, he also Flys haha

Congrats on Zazu! I hope you'll keep her flighted, as it makes for a more confident CAG with fewer behavioral problems.

Having a CAG whooshing by your head in flight is a wonderful sound and a sight to behold. My Maalik loves to fly up behind me to land on my back. He's my buddy. <3 CAGS!!!

Oh, Maalik didn't wean himself fully until he was over 4 months of age, which is normal for CAGS. The breeder gave him to us when he was 13 weeks, saying that he was weaned, but it was obvious that he wasn't. He was still making honking noises and pumping his neck when I'd stroke his beak. I syringe fed him, which is a breeze to do with these birds until he showed me he was done.

She is a pig lol. She ate two bowls of fresh foods plus over half of her half and half seed and pellet mixture. She is very calm and loving, she loves to hum.

Congrats on Zazu!!! What a beautiful baby you've got there!!!! Do watch if he eats good right now cause sometimes they have problem regressing. Good luck!!!! :)

My bird is seven months and still insists I feed her lol she will eat pellets seed fruit etc but if she doesn't get her spoon feed she's squawking at me by the kettle lol! congratulations btw she is beautiful

Let's hope this doesn't happen lol. She is eating well and never begs for food.

Happy Zazu is home
Grinding his beak is a sign of being happy and content.
After training Mishka at night, he sits quietly on my lap grinding his beak contently.
