Hey Cockatoo lovers! You may have already heard about this little feathered genius, but for those who have not, check it out!
Figaro is a Goffin's Cockatoo who independently figured out how to CREATE and USE a tool. It started when he fashioned a twig to reach through the cage and get at a pebble he wanted to play with. His trainer encouraged the behavior by offering cashews this way, and eventually Figaro even helped other Cockatoos to learn the same trick by observing Figaro.
