Keupi - a Senegal.
Does your fid love a tv show or certain music?

I know Keupi loves Dora (he answers back) and Fritzy loved Sinatra (perch dancing and singing along). Another keet, Bee-Bop, loved sports - especially football. Peanuts was a big-band fan. Scrappy had no use for either TV or the radio but loved Atari (especially when my brother and I played Space Invaders). Impy was more a classic-rock bird. Bingo loved Elvis.

What, if any, have you seen among the fid-fan trends in entertainment? Does your feathered one have a preference for a show or a band/singer/entertainer?

Gigi's previous owner told me that Gigi loves watching Animal Planet. We have it on a lot and I haven't really seen any interest in it from him.

I had Sisqo in the car one day and a rap song came on. He became very vocal, so I left it on for him otherwise I would've switched it. Sisqo's cage isn't within view of the tv, or else I'm sure he would be even more of a perch potato than he is now.

I've read before that Amazons in particular like opera music (I think b/c it can get really loud and intense). So far I haven't seen a reaction from either of them.

I'm not sure that Cecil would condone me listing this here as I forced her to listen to it for so long she ended up Quacking like a duck ...

But, here is "Winged Migration" ... it is excellent, I recommend it for all parront and parrots alike ...

I've been meaning to get it on DVD so I can play it from my 'putor in the bird room. :D

Oh and when I say Gigi talks or makes noise...i really mean that he quacks like a duck. His old owner lived on a lake, and Gi's cage was right in front of the window. Everytime he saw ducks he would get really excited and quack quack quack.

He might like this movie...

Nicole, I'm laughing my head off ... because I know how funny it is to listen to and look at a PARROT sounding like a DUCK! ROFL! :D :D

Gigi would most definitely love this movie. It is a classic.

Gosh.. LOL. Animal Planet. It's a parront-control channel here NOT BECAUSE IT'S BAD. But coming home to find Keupi growling like a bear, barking like a dog, mrwing like a cat... it was pig-week that made me switch to Nick. The Suey-Whee he learned was enough to break an eardrum.

I am loving the Duck-Quack though! Just the picture is so funny.

lol a quaking parrot. Reminds me of the time Madison jumped off the deck and ran off trying to join my chicken flock. Don't worry, I stopped her before she even got close.. (the hens kind of just stood there stunned but the rooster was getting REALLY excited)

My birds love almost all the kid oriented shows, they really enjoy Disney movies too. It's really neat that Keupi answers back to Dora like that! I'm sorry but I hate Dora with a passion and as soon as my sweet little niece goes home I will again ban her from my television. That voice! She's even more annoying than Barney and he was horrible!
Lately they have been watching soap operas because thats the only channel we can get on that tv. No wonder Tyler is so dramatic.
I turned the tv off today and put one of those newer light rock stations on the radio. Rocky is much more athletic with just music, he starts dancing and singing away when those horrible girls start hitting those high notes. I figure they play that every five minutes so in three or four days he'll be fit as a fiddle. :D

For the record, I hate Dora too... but I'll take her voice over pig-calls anyday!

Soapsters and rapsters - cripes I don't know what is fid-trendy and fid-ashionable ... LOL

Neither of mine are real TV fans, unless other birds come on then they go crazy. I'll have to check out that DVD Anna they'll love that. Always kinda wanted a little duck but I guess a quacking parrot could work. :D
