These are my two choices, need help trying to decide. ...
My bird club is doing more educational venues and well Remington is not a bird that I can allow others to hold, so I contacted a friend who is unfortunately rehoming most of his rescued birds due to the fact that he can no longer afford to care for them, and asked him if he had anything that might work for me. These were the 2 he suggested. The Grey he has is flighted, steps up to anyone, but is more of a "home" bird, also doesn't care to be pet, which is fine with me, also this is my dream bird. . The eclectus is used to going out into the public, steps up well, but get very hormonal this time of year. So my questions are~ 1. How long do you think it would take for a once flighted bird, once it has been clipped, which I would have to do, won't wear a harness had tried many times, to realize it can't fly? 2. Is the cry of an eclectus reason enough not to consider? Does anyone have one that doesn't do the high pitch cry?
Sorry this is so long but I really can't decide, I'm tried of borrowing birds to take to these functions and would like one of my own, hubby says only one more bird, and I'm thankful for that, just need to make a decision. If you can think of anything I might have forgotten please tell me!
Also the birds are 12 hours away so I can't interact with them prior to this, but I trust my friend with his choices.
