Feeding parrots kombucha SCOBY?

I've been growing a SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeasts, AKA the "mother") to brew my own kombucha with since December. It's FINALLY thick enough to transfer to the continuous brewer. The process is going to go MUCH quicker now than growing it from scratch did. At some point that sucker is going to separate and become 2 SCOBY's and seeing as I don't have anyone to give any "baby SCOBY's" to, I was wondering if it's ok to share some with Kiwi? A lot of people feed bites of SCOBY to dogs, cats and chickens, but I haven't found too much about it being ok for parrots. Basically, it's just probiotics. You can make jerky out of it or blend it in smoothies ext...

Any ideas if it's fine to let him nibble?
