Feeding Parrot Meat

Small amounts are okay, personally, I would try and stick to organic, no antibiotic/ no hormone meat just to be safe. I personally don't feed my birds meat just because I don't eat it myself so I don't ever have any, but my SO did give them a little bit of turkey left over from when we went to thanksgiving dinner. They weren't as thrilled about it as I thought they would be but they did eat it. They do try and steal my food all of the time which has imitation meat in it here and there but they don't get that often either. I try to stick to giving them whole fruits and veggies.

Hey Ozii , welcome to the forum. we've been talking about this topic in the Macaw section the last few days, look under "meat eating macaw".

My birds love chicken. I often Boil chicken to cook and easily debone it so i can add it to a soup or stew and usually take the little bit of left over meat and bone ones its cooled and give it to my birds. They love digging into all the nooks and crannies and getting all the meat off, then the crack open the bones and eat the marrow. Its one of thier favorite once in a while treats!
