yeah today i have spied one of nuts new wing feathers!!! i know its new as the end is perfect and un chewed

she still looks extremely moth eaten, but at the rate she is dropping feathers with this molt i am hoping by the end of the yr she'll be picture perfect:p:10:

oh just given her a head scratch, and seen loads of pin feathers :) thought she felt a little less feathery lately, now if i can just get her into her cage, as my friend is due and according to my friend, nut has a taste for her! lol

Love those new feathers. I have been watching a tail feather grow on Rosie for a while now.

all of nuts feathers have been chewed, she didnt have 1 perfect feather where her beak could reach, grrr and yes its really exciting knowing the new feathers are coming through, little shafts of green and black, better then new shoes!

That is so great! My little Charlie has also been getting some new feathers and is looking less and less chewed as time passes. It takes so long to get them out of a feather chewing habit but it is so nice when they respond. I hope it stays that way for both of us!

i am still amazed at how these birds respond to ppl and adapt, and yes i cannot wait for her to be fully feathered, but if the stress of being in season, gets to her again (though i am confidant it won't be as bad) i will cross that bridge when it comes

and really glad your charlies gettin over his feather chewing :)

i'm not sure what was worse me watching nut, chewing herself, or nut knowing what she was doing, but not being able to stop herself :(
