ive made my appointment finally! ive wanted to get my 5th tattoo and its finally gonna happen on feb. 6th! i made up a watercolor showing the feathers/plants i want incorporated in it, but the artist i go to is amazing and i told her she has free will to change it up a bit as long as it has the same types of things in it. she has this watercolor style she likes to do and all her stuff comes out just breathtaking! there will be a green and blue eclectus feather in it as well as a turkey, pheasant, and green winged teal. im also including heather since thats my name, :p and purple basil since i find that to be such a beautiful plant! im so pumped to have it done! ill post pictures once i have it on me, but for now here is the picture i painted to give her an idea of what im looking for :)

i painted it before i had Ziggy, so its the red and yellow feather that will be replaced with an eclectus feather :) i have a white rabbit next to hollyhocks on my inner forearm and this will wrap around the outside of my forearm making it a half sleeve

Nice! I'd love to see the finished work.
My next tattoo is also going to be a feather - a peacock feather. I plan to get it in February, too.

That's beautiful! I'm sure it will look gorgeous as a tattoo! :D I'd love to see it completed.

I can't wait to be able to get some old work removed/covered up and re-fashioned on my back. It is too extensive, not ever completed, and I hate it so much that I am forever conscious to not wear clothes that show too much of it. :( I've been given complements, but I think it's ugly. 20 years ago I don't think the work was usually as nice as the fine needle outline work they commonly do today.

So pretty! I would love to see that as a tattoo.

its done! sorry for the crappy photos but its really hard to take pictures of something that goes all the way around your arm. :p i let her change it up a bit and i ended up eliminating the turkey feather and adding a geranium. so all together i have a green winged teal feather, purple basil, red geranium, pink heather, a pheasant feather, and an eclectus feather :) the white rabbit and pink hollyhocks are a healed one i got last summer so now i have a feather/floral/animal band that wraps all the way around. i absolutley love this artists watercolor style and i plan on having everything on this arm done in this style. :) ill hopefully get better pictures that i can piece together once its healed.

so far most people that have seen it dont really care for it either, its the watercolor style that they dont like. but i love it so much! i want to keep this arm all done that way whenever i add to it.

it boggles me that people look at it and dont see "watercolor" they just see what looks like a crappy tattoo job. its obvious to me..but oh well! im happy with it and ill be happier once its healed thats for sure!

I think it's beautiful! I'm so happy it turned out so well for you:)

Oh I DEFINITELY saw right away that it is supposed to be "watercolor". Don't worry, it does look like it :). It's beautiful and unique, and what's the most important is that YOU love it!
