I am currently perusing the internet for the right parrot cause to support. It is something I have been meaning to do for quite some time,NAND now I finally have the "spare change" to do so. Anybody have a favorite cause, foundation, program, etc? I am thinking of something a bit broader than a parrot rescue that simply takes in and adopts out birds, although I am very thankful for them.

Maybe a Parrot Conservation? With all these different animals going away, it would be such a significant thing to be able to save at least one species! I guess the only hard part is choosing a species to help out which is quite sad.
I personally would try to help out the bird reservation on the Big Island being that Hawaii is the home of the most extinct/endangered species. Though I'm not sure if there's a specific "bird" sanctuary or if it pertains to only one species. There might be a parrot endemic to Hawaii (I've seen something posted before) if you plan on helping parrots.

It's so hard to choose. I've been looking too and have come across soooo many important, responsible organizations in need that I end up giving a little here and a little there and spread it out. It's not like I'm at the level of a deep-pocket benefactor that can donate enough to support an organization or project. Local rescues are growing in number of birds so fast, many are trying to build new aviaries and even buildings. Perhaps that is something you might be inerested in. If so, I could PM you some responsible orgs that I am aware of.

I really like the World Parrot Trust. and feel they do a lot of good:)
