I am a HUGE movie person. I like pretty much all types of movies from action to foreign and have had a hard time lately finding new movies to watch. Any suggestions or favorite movies you guys and girls would recommend:emoticonc?? :)

Hehe, I'm pretty much the same, I like pretty well all movies. How does one that likes most movies suggest to another person that likes most movies what movies to watch:confused: Boy this is a conundrum:p

I love watching movies! I'm a Netflix addict. Is Netflix anywhere but the US?

Anyway, I have very eclectic taste in movies. My favorites include:

Amadeus
Pulp Fiction
Dodgeball
Dial M for Murder
Star Wars (the original before George did all that weird stuff to it)
Young Frankenstein
Schindler's List

I love bad movies as well as good movies.

With Netflix, I'm working my way through "the movies everyone should see" that I haven't seen yet. Just watch Apocolypse Now and the Godfather Trilogy is in my queue.

Every parrot lover must see "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill". I was hesitant when it was recommended to me - I'm not much for documentaries, but this is not like other documentaries. It was the most moving film I've ever seen.

I also just saw "Checking Out" with Peter Falk. Not much action to be sure, but incredible writing and incredible acting. It quickly landed on my top movies of all time.

Both of these are available for "Watch instantly" on Netflix.

I recently saw Shutter Island and Law Abiding Citizen - both great.

Worst movies ever are a Fist Full of Yen. One of the fight scenes the camera pans to the grass and stays there while you can hear the fighting going on off screne another very odd make-no-scense is a really old one called Eraserhead

Dodgeball

HAHA yes! Haven't seen that movie for ages, so gonna go watch it again.

One movie that I really enjoyed and I thought was shot real well was 'The Aviator' (But I'm addicted to aircraft so my opinion may be skewed somewhat lol)

And I always slot in 'Bad Boys 1-2' when I need a good comedy/action hit.:D

My personal favorites are Poseidon (the newer version), Journey to the Center of the Earth (newer version), Blood in Blood out (really amazing movie, I highly recommend), Flipper, the Proposal, and Free Willy 1-4. All amazing movies

If you like Clint E. Grand Torino was very good. Here are some more titles: Cross Creek, The Hurt Locker and Crazy Heart.

Clint E is a legend, I loved his spagetti westerns and the dirty Harry films but there are more of his films I liked also. Tom Hanks is another favourite. The Shawshank Redemption is anothe rone that springs to mind but I also love old legendary films and some 60s films (British)

I haven't yet seen the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill but would love to.

I love the old classics, especially old Bogart movies, Casablanca, Key Largo, The Maltese Falcon, The African Queen ect......

I haven't seen that yet but i really want to. On a similar note, another doco parrot lovers will be interested in is "Australia - Land of Parrots" Hands down some of the best Australian parrot footage you will ever see. It took a small team of Australian photographers years to get all the footage

My favourite part is the bit about the Palm Cockatoo, IMO one of the most magestic birds.

Bob, I think we were separated at birth! I love all the old movies - Bogart/Bacall, Hitchcock, James Stewart, etc. Have you ever seen The Awful Truth with Cary Grant, Irene Dunn and Ralph Bellamy? Funniest movie ever!

I just watched Precious and talk about an eye-opener! Exceptional movie that deserved every award it got and more. Have a box of tissues handy.

How about Monty Python? The first time my son saw The Holy Grail, I thought he was going to pass out from laughing so hard. Our whole family recites lines from our favorite movies - Willow, Holy Grail, Princess Bride, Up, etc.

Hmmmm...my husband has a track day scheduled for this Saturday. I may spend it watching movies with my girls.

YES!!!!!!! A Henry Bogart fan!!!!! I love him. Great movies, acting, etc. Key Largo is a good one. Even the actual place which I've been going to for the past few years on a school trip.

I love the Holy Grail and Princess Bride!!!! More great classics. I may not be from your generation, but on the inside, you bet I am!!! Man, all those movies are soooo good.

LOL, I meant Humphrey. I confuse then all the time. :p

I just can't seem to find any good movis anymore, everything has all on down hill over the years. Very rarely do I find a movie I like anymore.

I find corny old movies to be pretty entertaining, and I never knew why. I think I like to see all the old fashions, technology, and special effects.

I read an article about Jaws the other day...as the supreme summer blockbuster. I watched it again and realized that it's still a spectacular movie and would have completely sucked if they made it today. The best part of the movie was the unseen bad guy. You seldom see the shark...only ripples in the water or the menacing fin. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Today, the shark would be all CGI and there's be blood, gore and body parts everywhere.

It's amazing that anyone who saw it when it first came out ever went swimming again.

Most of the good movies now are independents...Juno, Hurt Locker, Precious. Gotta say, Avatar bored me to death. A big budget ruins movies.
