I also use the term easy very lightly...Parker is a handful but very gentle and easy going

Henpecked always says panama's and I've also read that Mealy's are a favorite for their gentle nature.

I have always heard that lilac crowns are very gently as are mealys. I have also heard that Mealys are extremely noisy. I was very interested at one point in getting a Mealy, they are really big and very interesting looking.

Double Yellow Heads and Yellow Napes!! :54: JUST KIDDING!!! Well not really, they ARE my favorites. :D

I got EXTREMELY lucky with both of mine. They are snuggle bunnies, especially Hunter. :)

I'd say the following have a reputation for being easy/calm:
Yellow Shouldered
Lilac Crown
Panama
Cuban
Mealy
Red Lored (????)

I've NEVER heard a bad thing about the Panama. They can make EXCELLENT talkers, too.

If I was to get another Zon [I have a Blue frnt] .It would be any of the "Hot "zons

There is a breeder near me that will have some lilacs available soon...I was looking at them as a possibility...If I can get the husband to go for it...he is getting better with Parker, my husband will now pet him when he is out of the cage sometimes

what would be a good price for a lilac in the US

My Yellow Shouldered is a BIG proof that they are the sweetest Zons there. Love this bird...

Since you asked... panamas, BTW all my babies are spoken for for the next few years.

Female DYH. Mine is soo sweet. Especially around females. Although DYH males can be grumpy when sexually mature.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned orange wings! Orange wings are occasionally confused for blue fronts, but they are smaller and have a better overall temperament!

After that, lilacs or maybe spectacles.

OWAs are great birds. Don't talk as well as Pans or the other yellow front subspecies. They are very friendly and playful. (and much cheaper) Back in the day they were known as the "poor mans amazon".
